Know your KPIs

We will help you define a custom set of KPIs for your business and provide the tools to collect the data present you with trends in the values. Your KPI dashboard will make it easier to see whether strategy is having the desired impact, helping you to evolve your approach.

What is a KPI?

Gross margin over the last 12 months is a single number that informs about how a business is doing; a larger value is better than a smaller value and a negative value is a concern! It’s an example of a Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Knowing whether there is a trend in that KPI value provides another insight into the health of the business.

Financial KPIs are like a speedometer reading but there are more subtle KPIs that describe what’s happening in the engine of the business. They could be related to sales activity (e.g. new enquiries per month) or delivery (e.g. jobs per technician day). The values of these ‘engine’ KPIs contribute (often with a time lag) to the higher level financial KPIs.

KPI dashboard advantages

Visibility

Visibility

Instead of digging through spreadsheets, you see performance at a glance. Trends, spikes, and problems jump out immediately.
Focus

Focus

Dashboards connect goals to results. When KPIs are always visible, decisions are based on evidence—not gut feelings.
Collaboration

Collaboration

Everyone tracks the same metrics, which keeps teams focused on shared objectives and reduces “we thought success meant something else” moments.
Immediate

Immediacy

Dashboards update automatically, so you can catch issues early (missed targets, cost overruns, drop-offs) and act before they snowball.
Accountability

Accountability

When KPIs are transparent, it’s clear who owns what. This naturally drives responsibility and performance improvement.
Efficiency

Efficiency

Automated reporting means less manual data prep and more time spent actually analyzing and improving results.
Motivation

Motivation

Seeing progress visually — especially toward targets — can be a real morale boost and keeps momentum high.
Personalisation

Personalisation

Executives, managers, and frontline teams can each have dashboards tailored to what they need to see—no noise, just relevance.
